The quintessential scholar-- Harvard-educated scholar-- Patrick Chai has traveled extensively both the left and right hemispheres (of his brain). He first discovered computer science and math before traversing the creative world(s) of photography prior to landing on hair. Akin to having a deep affinity for both logical and creative thinking, he appreciates both the linear and organic beauty that is cutting and styling. In the same way a photographer attempts to dually capture both a mood and an aesthetic, Patrick believes in working to find a style that fits an individual’s unique personality while simultaneously complimenting their texture and facial structure. Ironically, he admits that photographs of his clients sometimes illuminate beautiful angles and striking shadows that were previously not visible while in the chair.
